Lisa Steininger
Lisa Steininger, CPA, MBA, CAE, is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at The Joint Commission. In this role, Ms. Steininger leads the organization’s financial vision and execution. She serves as the principal resource for The Joint Commission enterprise to enable its growth strategy, supporting its commitment to operating in ways that are responsible and sustainable while continuing to advance progress across the industry’s most pressing quality and safety challenges.
Ms. Steininger is a successful senior executive with deep financial and operational skills, adept at navigating the dynamic landscapes of both for-profit and non-profit sectors. Her experience in healthcare includes the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), where she served as the financial and revenue officer overseeing accounting, financial planning and analysis, business solutions, and strategic revenue growth. Ms. Steininger has also held senior roles in finance, operations, business intelligence, and analytics at large companies including Navigant Consulting, Aon Hewitt, AT&T, and CDK Global.
Ms. Steininger received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from Marquette University in Milwaukee and her Master of Business Administration, specializing in finance and marketing, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified association executive (CAE), a credential of distinction from the American Society of Association Executives.
