After Your Review
Once your review is complete, you will receive a preliminary report from the reviewers before they exit your organization. The Joint Commission will examine your report to determine if any changes are needed. You will receive the final report within 10 days. If you are required to submit corrective action for Requirements for Improvement (RFI), you have 60 days.
Next Steps
If you have been cited deficient on any standards or elements of performance, you will receive the findings in the SAFER™ matrix which provides one comprehensive visual representation of findings in which all RFIs are plotted according to the likelihood of harm to patients, staff, or visitors, in addition to how widespread the problem is based on the surveyors observations. You will be required to respond to all RFIs through submitting an Evidence of Standards Compliance (ESC). The Joint Commission will evaluate your plan and follow-up on your progress.
