Assisted Living Community Measures

There are no Assisted Living eCQMs applicable or available for accreditation purposes.

The Joint Commission has established standardized measures for the Accreditation for Assisted Living Communities. To improve the quality of life for residents, accredited communities will abstract standardized performance measures, which will allow organizations to track care provided to their residents and improve on that care, where needed. In the summer of 2020, a Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) met to review proposed existing performance measures. The following are Assisted Living Communities (ALC) chart abstracted measures used by The Joint Commission.

Assisted Living Communities Standardized Performance Measures

  • ALC-01 - Off-Label Antipsychotic Drug Use
  • ALC-02 - Resident Falls
  • ALC-03 - Resident Preferences and Goals of Care
