Laura Blum Meisnere is an accomplished healthcare policy leader with more than 25 years of experience developing, directing, and managing strategic policy initiatives. Currently, Laura serves as the Senior Director, Member Engagement at the National Quality Forum. Laura is part of a team whose shared passion is to make healthcare better, safer, more affordable and equitable.
Between 2009 and 2020, Laura served as the Vice President, Health Policy and the Director, Quality Improvement and Outcomes at the Heart Rhythm Society. Prior to her role at the Heart Rhythm Society, Laura was the Associate Director, Federal Relations at The Joint Commission. Earlier in her career, Laura oversaw standard development consensus projects at the National Quality Forum and worked at the American Medical Association at the newly formed National Patient Safety Foundation.
Laura holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in History and Women’s Studies.
